 A Christmas Carol2

A Christmas Carol

Musical Broadway Hit

Christmas 2016 at Capitol Theatre

110 W. Main St. Lebanon, Tn. 37087

Audience Of One Productions is a new production company that has everybody talking.  Their first hit, Into the Woods Summer 2015 was astounding and they followed with sold out shows of Beauty and the Beast that some say was: “the best regional theatre in 25 years!” Director and Artistic Director, Angie Dee, is more excited for this show than any other before.  “A Christmas Carol Broadway Musical is special”,  Angie explains.  “Alan Menken dove very deep into harmonies and this piece is a true gem.  It qualifies as an Operatic but feels like a deeply moving human experience. It’s a story of redemption and the power of forgiveness.”

Most know the beloved Dickens’ A Christmas Carol but this musical rendition is extraordinary.  On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by ghosts offering him a chance at a better future—his old partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future—who teach him it is never too late to change. Will he choose to live in his past hurts or face the future with a new perspective of Hope… With a stellar cast and beautiful live music, this Broadway-scale production will warm your heart with joy and put all in the Christmas spirit!

Make plans now for your whole family to attend a night of Classic Musical Theatre.  This story of redemption and kindness of the human spirit will warm your heart.  Breathtaking music and superb performances will put all in the Christmas spirit!

Audience of One Productions presents “Into the Woods”

OUR HISTORY:

Audience of One Productions began with the vision of having TPAC/Broadway quality theatre available in Wilson County. Angie Dee, founder and director, walked into Capitol Theatre and envisioned talented young actors performing Broadway shows on this remarkable stage. With a dream and the help of the Holy Spirit, Angie began to take flight with launching Audience of One’s first production 2015 Into the Woods.   “I think we surprised a lot of people. It was hard to believe that a group of high school students could achieve the level of professionalism that the Into the Woods cast was able to achieve. Sondheim’s music is extraordinarily difficult. When you add the choreography and depth of acting that these students displayed…well it was nothing short of miraculous.”   Angie gives the Holy Spirit all credit along with her team: Musical Director, Beth Lockamey, Orchestration, Julie Lopez, Assistant to Director, Tress Springler, Choreographers: Rebecca Poole, Tessa Grooves, and Hope Beard of whom all brought their gifts to life through the performers.

FROM STAFF REPORTS
JUL 15, 2015

Audience of One Productions, a high school theatre program, will present the Tony Award-winning musical and Oscar-nominated show “Into the Woods” at Lebanon’s recently renovated Historic Capitol Theatre.

Performances will be on Friday, July 17 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 18 at 1 and 7 p.m. 2015

Audience of One Productions is a community group of actors collaborating in the arts to express one heart to do all things unto the Lord. Directed by Angie Dee of Mt. Juliet, Audience of One has students from Heritage Christian Academy in Mt. Juliet, Mt. Juliet High School, Francis Schaeffer Study Center in Mt. Juliet, Nashville School of the Arts, Teen Learning Center and The Academy.

“Into the Woods” is a whimsically enticing, visual adventure that follows the intertwining paths of some of the most cherished fairy-tale characters such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel. As they journey into the woods to find their “wish” they realize that their paths emerge and affect one another’s happily ever after.

They quickly learn many lessons like: One’s decisions affect others, be careful what you wish for, choices of forgiveness or revenge, knowing loss and knowing you are never alone, just to name a few.

“The recent release of Disney’s Into the Woods sparked new possibilities as to how many viewed this highly popular stage production,” Dee said. “As the director, I recognized the possibility of producing this play with a fresh perspective. Each of us feels honored to have the opportunity to perform at Capitol Theatre for what is promised to be an outstanding night of theatre.”
