Audience of One Productions presents “Into the Woods”
OUR HISTORY:
Audience of One Productions began with the vision of having TPAC/Broadway quality theatre available in Wilson County. Angie Dee, founder and director, walked into Capitol Theatre and envisioned talented young actors performing Broadway shows on this remarkable stage. With a dream and the help of the Holy Spirit, Angie began to take flight with launching Audience of One’s first production 2015 Into the Woods. “I think we surprised a lot of people. It was hard to believe that a group of high school students could achieve the level of professionalism that the Into the Woods cast was able to achieve. Sondheim’s music is extraordinarily difficult. When you add the choreography and depth of acting that these students displayed…well it was nothing short of miraculous.” Angie gives the Holy Spirit all credit along with her team: Musical Director, Beth Lockamey, Orchestration, Julie Lopez, Assistant to Director, Tress Springler, Choreographers: Rebecca Poole, Tessa Grooves, and Hope Beard of whom all brought their gifts to life through the performers.

Audience of One Productions is a community group of actors collaborating in the arts to express one heart to do all things unto the Lord. Directed by Angie Dee of Mt. Juliet, Audience of One has students from Heritage Christian Academy in Mt. Juliet, Mt. Juliet High School, Francis Schaeffer Study Center in Mt. Juliet, Nashville School of the Arts, Teen Learning Center and The Academy.
“Into the Woods” is a whimsically enticing, visual adventure that follows the intertwining paths of some of the most cherished fairy-tale characters such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel. As they journey into the woods to find their “wish” they realize that their paths emerge and affect one another’s happily ever after.
They quickly learn many lessons like: One’s decisions affect others, be careful what you wish for, choices of forgiveness or revenge, knowing loss and knowing you are never alone, just to name a few.
“The recent release of Disney’s Into the Woods sparked new possibilities as to how many viewed this highly popular stage production,” Dee said. “As the director, I recognized the possibility of producing this play with a fresh perspective. Each of us feels honored to have the opportunity to perform at Capitol Theatre for what is promised to be an outstanding night of theatre.”
