We are thankful to each of you for your love and support of this company. It is our honor and pleasure to bring Broadway level productions to the stage at Capitol Theatre.
Audience of One Productions began with the vision of having Broadway quality theatre available in Wilson County. Angie Dee, founder and director, walked into Capitol Theatre and envisioned talented young actors performing Broadway shows on this remarkable stage. With a dream and the help of the Holy Spirit, Angie began to take flight with launching Audience of One’s first production 2015 Into the Woods followed by sold out productions of Beauty and the Beast and A Christmas Carol Musical 2016.
The summer of 2017 was a huge success with our first Jr. Show: Peter Pan Jr. Broadway version followed by the outstanding 10 show run of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers! Our busy 2018 season of shows included Singin’ in the Rain, Little Women, Seussical Jr, West Side Story, and Mary Poppins. This incredible troupe continued to dazzle audiences in 2019 with She Loves Me, Newsies, Shrek Jr., A Christmas Carol Musical, 2020: You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Guys and Dolls, Willy Wonka Jr., Sound of Music. Our anticipated 2022 season will be the best yet to come!
Audience of One Productions is a community group of actors collaborating in the arts to express one heart to do all things unto Him.
Director Angie Dee
The greatest Christmas gift that I ever received was in 2015. Bob and Pam Black asked me to join Capitol Theatre as a full time director. Audience of One Productions was just in the infant stages as a company and I could not imagine being anywhere else but on the stage at Capitol Theatre. The marriage of our companies was such a beautiful gift that felt otherworldly. I remember each time I walked into the space feeling an overwhelming love and presence that moved me to tears. By the way, I still feel this way all these years later. Bob and Pam have become like family to me and I treasure their friendship and am forever grateful for the trust of this treasure of a theatre. We put on Broadway shows, year after year, season after season, show after show… and the feeling I had Christmas 2015 still feels fresh. I am in a space that has an open heaven over it. I am in a space that kids come to and learn about so much more than theatre skills… they learn how to love themselves,. See themselves through the eyes of Christ…how to see others through those same eyes and we create something bigger than one person. We are able to create art with an incredible team of artist, music directors, and choreographers, costumers, set designers, builders, and crew and now have an immense capacity to continue to grow with the help of generous sponsors. It all began with the gift of trust from Pam and Bob Black … it all began with a dream… I am forever thankful.
